  5. Pachacuti, Sapa Inca • The founder of the Incan empire was Pachacuti • His title was Sapa Inca, or emperor • He had absolute power over the empire. He owned EVERYTHING!

  6. Incan Life • Their language was Quechua (KETCH-wa) • They had no written language • They kept records on Quipus(Key-POOs)

  7. Innovations and Inventions • They created a great road system that connected all of the cities to Cuzco • Metalworkers made Alloys or combinations of metals • Medical advances included SKULL SURGERY! • They were polytheistic
