  2. iconografia del toro El toro és un símbol utilitzat des de cultures molt antigues. De vegades representa principis femenins, fecunditat, lluna (“..ese toro enamorado de la luna”), de vegades masculins i el sol. Es relaciona amb el poder i la fecundació, sol representar així la relació entre cel i terra, de vegades també amb la mort. És un símbol molt complex. (segons el Diccionario de símbolos de Juan Eduardo Cirlot)
