  2. Manual for registration at StudentWeb • Exchange students and Free-movers • 2 login options • you can start at http://en.uit.no/students#Activate • or go directly to https://studweb.uit.no/isapi/WebObjects.dll/studentweb.woa/2/wa/default?inst=uit

  3. New international students should start with this login. You will need a Norwegian ID number and a PIN code to use this login.

  4. Choose English as language! Forgot your username and password? You can login from our English webpages once you have activated your student account and have a username (Brukernavn) and password (Passord).

  5. Freemovers must have paid the semester fee (NOK 500,-) and had the payment registered in the student database before registration for classes and exams at StudentWeb. Exchange students do not pay semester fee.

  6. Free-Movers: Having paid and registered the semester fee StudentWeb will look like this.

  7. Before you start registering, you have to acquaint yourselves with your rights and duties at the UIT and with UITs responsibilities and duties towards you. You have to confirm that you have read and understood this information in order to proceed.

  8. To start the registration of a course you have to click on «Add new course». You can only register for courses listed in your Study Plan/Learning Agreement.

  9. Fill in the course code according to your Study Plan/Learning Agreement and click on Find.

  10. Select and add course.

  11. Withdrawal from exams/changes is also to be done here (within the deadline). Register for classes and exams and click on Save.

  12. You need to specify.

  13. Fill in your address in Tromsø: street name + number, ev. room number, postal/city code and city. Click OK-Save. You should check your UIT e-mail regularly. Mandatory! In order to receive the semester registration receipt with waifer/sticker for student card the «Contact information» must be updated.

  14. 2nd semester Free-movers: You Can download the payment information here. Please ignore this information if your payment has been registered in the student database.

  15. You can order Transcript of records here. The document(s) will be signed, stamped and sent to your semester address in Tromsø.

  16. Semester fee: • Free-movers: You have to pay the semester fee before you can register. (You get your giro at the Student Welfare Organisation during Practical matters IV). • Exchange students: You do not pay any semester fee to UiT.

  17. Registration process: • Your can register only for courses listed in your Learning Agreement/Study Plan • Courses: You have to register forclasses and exams • You should always update your contact information, also before you leave at the end of the semester!

  18. Class & exam registration • For class registrations: • Leave the class term unaltered • Choose a seminar/colloquium/lab group from the scroll-down menu on the right. NB! Not all courses have this kind of work groups • For exam registrations: • Leave the exam term/exam system unaltered • Choose language of examination

  19. Change of courses: • Exchange students:Changes to your Learning Agreement?Contact your UiT faculty coordinator. • Free-movers:Study plan should not be changed. Under special circumstances a change is possible. Contact your student adviser at the International Office.

  20. Deadlines: • Signing up for additional courses: • 1 February • 1 September • Withdrawal from exams: • 15 April • 1 November
