  3. 1. background • Previous study period, Y.ipev, “the IP evolution to NGN” was allocated Q.7/13 and has been developed. • At the SG13 meeting on Jan Geneva, Y.ipev was updated and allocated to Q.12/13. • At the Q.12/13 Rapporteur’s meeting on June 22-26 Geneva, the meeting has requested the restructuring of current draft Recommendation Y.ipev in the name of “Interworking between NGN and legacy IP-based networks”
