  2. Rule 1 • Most verbs in the past tense take a ‘h’ after the firstletter EgBris- ~Bhris Dún- ~ Dhún • Except verbs that start with a vowel, L,N,R,Sc EgLéim- Léim

  3. Rule 2 • If the verb starts with a vowel a,e,i,o,u Then you add a D’ before the verb eg: Ól- D’ól

  4. Rule 3 • If the verb starts with an ‘f’ then you add a D’ before it and a ‘h’ after the ‘f’ egFás- D’fhás Fan- D’fhán

  5. Rule 4 • To ask a Question you use the phrase Ar + ‘h’ Arbhris? Arghlan? If it starts with a vowel, L,N, R and Sc then it stays the same Arrith?

  6. Rule 5 To say ‘I didn’t’ you use the phrase ‘Níor +h’ Níorbhris Níorchuir If the verb starts with a vowel, L,N,R ,Sc then it stays the same
