This event focuses on increasing participation rates in the KCTC Youth Survey by sharing effective strategies for engaging districts and community supporters. Attendees will learn how to identify key contacts within their districts, keep communication open, and share data from previous years to foster trust and encourage registration. Additionally, practical tips will be presented for organizing survey administration, coordinating participation efforts, and incentivizing both staff and students to meet participation goals. Together, we can enhance the impact of the youth survey.

RPC Staff Learning Event Purpose: To Increase Participation Rates in the KCTC Youth Survey To Share Effective Strategies of Increased Participation
Identify a contact/supporter in the district • Identify a supporter from the community who is known and respected • Help these contacts register and organize survey administration Getting Districts Registered
Communicate with the district • Share data from previous years with the districts • Keep up to date with districts and there registration status • Communication with us Getting Districts Registered

Get the teachers or staff administering the survey on board • Stay in contact with the survey coordinator • Coordinate with the district the best time to administer the survey • Avoid Friday and Monday survey administration • Avoid survey administration immediately following Christmas break Increasing Participation Rates
Offer incentives for meeting participation goals and get prizes donated if the goals are met • Both public and private recognition given to Supt and coordinators for their involvement and work on the survey • Have a presence at the school during administration and offer any help needed • Make sure the surveys get packaged up and returned to us Increasing Participation Rates
