  1. ROKU Roku Setup and Roku Activation Roku provides the simplest way to stream entertainment to your TV

  2. The setup procedure for all Roku Players is essentially the same. The presentation describes the basic setup instructions for any Roku streaming Player.

  3. Player to your TV Connecting the Roku • All Roku streaming Player will work with any television with an HDMA connection. • When connecting your Roku streaming Player to your TV using an HDMI connection, use high Speed HDMI cable. • For connecting to older televisions, some Roku models include a standard composite video, in addition to the HDMI connection.

Setting up your ROKU PLAYER • Connect your Roku streaming player to your TV using either a High speed HDMI cable or composite cables. • If your Roku player has Ethernet port, you can use an Ethernet cable to connect the Roku layer to an available Ethernet port on your router. • Connect the power connector to the Roku player and connect the power adapter to a wall outlet. • Insert batteries into remote control. • Make sure that correct TV input is selected on your TV • You should now see a Roku logo on the TV screen NOTE:

  6. Choose a language • When Roku Player power on, the first screen will prompt you to choose a language. • Scroll up and down the list and press the OK button on your Roku remote to choose a language.

Connect your Roku Player your network and the internet • Choose your wireless network from the list of available networks and enter password. • If you do not see your network, select scan again to see all networks. • If you want to see your password, choose show password. • passwords are case sensitive • Use shift button to change the case of the password. • Press Connect, your Roku will automatically connect to the internet.

  8. Wait for your Roku Player to download the latest software Once connected to the internet, your Roku Player will check to see if a software update is available. If there is, then it will download the latest version and then reboot.

  9. Set the display type • Your Roku Player will analyze the HDMI connection to determine the best display resolution. • To change the display type at a later time, go to SETTING > DISPLAY TYPE

  10. Create Roku account and activate your Roku Player • To activate Roku player it must be linked to a Roku account. • Your account keeps track of Roku devices and allows you to add free and purchase channels from the Roku Channel store. • Instructions will display to activate Roku player on your TV, including activation code • You will be require to visit my.roku.com/links on your computer to enter the code. • Follow the instruction to activate your Roku player.
