Can I Have HOPE?
I. Remember what you know. Can I Have HOPE? Sin is still sin (1Jn 3:4). All men are sinners (Rm 3:23). Sin separates (Is 59:1-2) God wants all men saved (2Pt 3:9) Man can be saved (Jn 14:1-3) Man can have confidence (Phil 3:20-21) God is merciful (2Co 1:3) God will do the right thing (Dt. 32:4)
II. Do what you can do. Can I Have HOPE? Study and learn God’s will (2Tm 2:15) Be penitent of unknown sins (Lk 8:13) Repent of every known sin (2Pt 3:9) Pray (Hb 4:16) Examine yourself (2Co 13:5) Resist the devil (Jas 4:7) Avoid the pitfalls (Pr 4:14-15) Take the “safe” course. Listen to your conscience (Rm 14:23)
III. Leave the rest to God. Can I Have HOPE? 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Prov 3:5-6
