    10. GeoEye Constellation Collection Capacity GeoEye-1 Image 350,000 km2/day in multi-spectral mode 700,000 sq km/day panchromatic mode IKONOS 200,000 sq km/day True Constellation Operations for GeoEye-1 and IKONOS Phased orbit Access to all locations nearly every day GeoEye Constellation Collection Capacity Almost 1M sq km/day A sensor with greater collection capacity will result in final image products with shorter delivery times. The products will also have improved consistency due to avoiding variations in scene content that can result from temporal changes in the images collected on multiple satellite passes. Greater collection capacity also translates in simplest terms into MORE imagery and MORE CURRENT imagery of the places you want to see. 12. Cost-Effective Defense GeoEye uses technology that can't be produced overseas, due to export controls We provide extra eyes in the sky and thus additional information that our defense and intelligence services use to protect support the war fighter, and Since GeoEye derives about our revenue from international and commercial customers, the taxpayers pay only of the cost of our systems. By contrast, the Government pays 100 cent dollars for National Technical Means, so we're a very cost effective alternative.
