Female Beauty Statistics • Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves ‘beautiful’ (up from 2% in 2004)  • Only 11% of girls globally are comfortable using the word ‘beautiful’ to describe themselves  • 72% of girls feel tremendous pressure to be beautiful  • 6 in 10 girls stop doing what they love because they feel bad about their looks.

Male Beauty Statistics • More than 4 in 5men (80.7%) talk in ways that promote anxiety about their body image by referring to perceived flaws and imperfections, compared with 75% of women. • Similarly, 38% of men say that they would sacrifice at least a year of their life in exchange for a perfect body – again, a higher proportion than women. • 29% of men thought about their appearance at least five times a day. • 23% of men said concerns about their appearance had deterred them from going to the gym.
