  2. You must have: • Research Content • Oral Presentation • Written component • Time-line Date Stamp • Category

  3. Research Content • Must be related to Black History • Must be able to make a connection to yourself that makes sense • Research must be evident (facts, important dates and events) • Information should be easy to understand and flow

  4. Oral presentation • Use notes, or Q-cards with limited reading • Follow checklist for oral presentation • At least 3-4 minutes long • You are prepared on the day of your presentation • Use visual aids to enhance presentation (Examples: costume, pictures, video, music, slide show, handout) • ** Must talk to Ms. Douglas about aids that you would like to use

Written Component • 3 paragraphs in total: (5-6 sentences each) • 1#: Biography or information about topic • #2: Answer the question: How have the achievements of Blacks had an effect on your life today? • #3: Answer the question: What did you learn about yourself or about the topic through this research?

  6. Time-Line Date Stamp • Must have an important year indicated for your research topic • For example: • Date of event • Birth date of person • Date the person/event had an affect on you ** Choose the day that is most important to you.

  7. Social Politics Music Film and T.V. Events Sports Authors & Writers Inventors & Inventions History Science & Medical Abstract Ideas Category • You must choose a category that is appropriate for your research topic. • Choose from the following: • Food & nutrition • Fashion & Beauty • Awards & Achievements • Explorers • Hobbies
