    3. 3 How are Margins Evaluated Now? Evaluation of margin is situational Margin is criteria based Make change, then evaluate remaining margin Structure of design change process Formal review of calcs Some dont know the margins that exist

    4. 4 CM 1 - Performance Consistent with Design Requirements Look at Operations/Maintenance procedures to identify the design requirements For example, Alarm Setpoints Equivalency Evaluations (safety vs. reliability) Evaluate the bases for Op Evals. Were margins considered? Older plants - How are requirements captured? Look at how calcs are linked Backlog of calcs awaiting update

    5. 5 CM 2 Roles and Responsibilities How is testing used to demostrate functionality after maintenance? Target questionnaire to specific roles Is CM training included in GET?

    6. 6 CM 3 Day-to-Day Activities Follow System Engineering on walkdowns Look at blocking of under-voltage devices Operator workarounds Controls for equipment operated by vendors

    7. 7 CM 4 Design Change Process How does the vendor follow station programs? Method/basis for accepting Field Changes Notices (FCN) Temp to Permanent Old design changes (excluding RIE)

    8. 8 Take Aways Good to understand how the INPO questionnaire will be used. Focus on CM needs to be communicated to plant management. Need to establish the triggers for design margin reviews? Scope of alignment checklists (Root Valves) INPO wants to learn with us.
