Biomass Ethanol • Biomass ethanol is aggressively being developed (5-10 years) • This will ease pressure on grain demand in the years ahead • Major portion of ethanol produced from cellulose within next 15-20 years • Increase in grain prices acts as an incentive to move towards biomass • Some likely cellulose feedstocks are poplar trees and field residues
