IBM Confidential: Notes Domino 8.5.1 Why are we changing the way we sell Notes/Domino? • Respond to new buying patterns and customer desire for simplification • Flexibility - License based on usage, not based on access method/client • Simplification - Reduce number of client SKUs from 11 down to 2 • Value oriented - Deliver additional value through entitlements • Adjust server pricing for increased value delivered in 8.x (Xpages, DAOS, Domino Configuration Tuner, improved scalability) • Invigorate the application development community around Notes/Domino • Make Notes/Domino application development more approachable to a wider audience of developers • Further leverage the community around Notes/Domino application development, including OpenNTF.org and participation in the Solutions Catalog • Establish a licensing and distribution structure that is flexible for entry into new markets, channels • Shift from selling software to selling access to Domino

IBM Confidential: Notes Domino 8.5.1 What is changing about the packaging of Notes/Domino? • Introduction of a new client access license model, replacing Notes and iNotes licenses • Enterprise CAL - US$318 • Messaging CAL - US$198 • Domino Designer will be available at no charge to anyone from IBM developerWorks • Enterprise CAL required for support and to connect to a Domino server • Lotus Mobile Connect client entitlement for all Domino Enterprise CAL licenses • Conversion for existing customers from old Notes/iNotes licenses to CALs on February 20, 2010

Answers to common questions... • “How will the license to CAL conversion process work?” • On February 20, 2010 customer's Passport Advantage data will be updated to replace retired SKUs with their new equivalents. • “How will these changes affect subscription and support for renewals?” • Pricing for subscription and support renewals after the conversion takes place will be calculated based on the entitled price of the new SKUs. • “How will these changes affect reinstatements?” • If a customer has allowed subscription and support to lapse on an old SKU they will be able to purchase a reinstatement to the new one. • “Between now and February 20, 2010 when should I sell the old SKUs?” • Only where effort to re-do special bid, contracts etc. would be significant - “deals in flight” • “What guidance should we give to customers regarding renewal of subscription and support for their Domino Designer licenses due between October 6 and February 19?” • Allow them to lapse and purchase Enterprise CALs. • Annual S&S for Designer SRP = $440, New Enterprise CAL SRP = $318 • On February 20, 2010 SKU conversion takes place • Annual S&S for Designer SRP = $440, S&S Enterprise CAL = $82.50
