  2. WELCOME Thank you for your interest in employment at Prairie View A&M University. Our Applicant Tutorial has been developed to help you learn how to use the PV PATH system, or Prospective Applicant Tracking Homepage, effectively. Please allow 15 – 20 minutes to complete this tutorial before you begin using the system. You may use the tutorial as an aid to help you move through system.

PV PATH Objectives for the PV PATH system: • Apply for jobs online from any PC any where in the world • Complete the University’s application for employment once and apply for multiple positions • Provide applicants with up-to-date and immediate responses to the status of applications for employment

  4. TUTORIAL CONTENT We will cover the following: Section 1: Creating an Online Application for Employment Section 2: Searching and Applying for Posted Positions Section 3: Reviewing an Application’s Status Section 4: Managing Applications in the System Section 5: Changing Your Password

  6. Section 1 Creating an Online Application

  7. Enter the PV PATH by using the URL: jobs.pvamu.edu Or enter the PV PATH from PVAMU’s homepage and clicking on JOBS@PVAMU

  8. This is PVAMU’s Prospective Applicant Tracking Homepage, or PV PATH. Click here to create an online application.

  9. Click the button for the type of application to be completed. Click “Go” to continue to the next page.

  10. Establish a unique username and password here. All required fields are indicated with an asterisk. Note: All usersnames are social security number sensitive. Please make note of the username. Another user name cannot be established later. Click here to move to the next page.

  11. Set up password retrieval here. Be sure to ask a question that is easy to remember the answer to.

  12. Page 1 is Confidential EEO Information Page. This information is not provided to the employer. It is sent to the Office of Equal Opportunity for statistical data.

  13. When finished with this page Click “Save and Continue to Next”.

  14. Page 2 in the Personal Information Page. All required information is indicated with an asterisk. Note: All required information must be completed in order to move to the next page.

  15. Click here to move to the next page.

  16. Page 3 is Education Institution and Licensure/Certification Page.

  17. Enter information concerning valid licenses or certifications here.

  18. Click here to move to the next page.

  19. Page 4 is Employment History. Click here to begin adding Employment History.

  20. Enter employment history here starting with the most recent job.

  21. When finished click “Add Entry”.

  22. “View”, “Delete” or “Edit” the info entered here. Once all employment history has been entered click here to “Continue to Next”.

  23. “Edit” and “View” the application here. The certification statement for the application is included below.

  24. Click “Continue” to acknowledge the certification statement and verify the application.

  25. Click “Confirm” to move to the next page.

  26. Your name will appear here once the application has been successfully completed. Logout when finished or continue using the system to search job postings and apply to job postings.

You are now ready to access the PV PATH system. You may refer to the Applicant Tutorial at any time while you using the system by clicking Applicant Tutorial on your left menu of each page.
