Further, it offers protection to your family and belongings. . • There are two types of roofs (Commercial and Residential) which are used on all the buildings that we see around us. • Residential roofing is done for apartments and houses and commercial roofing is done only for businesses or offices.

  3. In reality the differences between commercial and residential are much complex. Lets us differentiate between the two • Residential roofing is usually completed by just one hired contractor. • But in case of commercial roofing, it usually takes a whole team to complete the job. • This is because commercial roofs are tending to be larger in terms of area than a residential roof.

Commercial roofs are designed carefully keeping the nature and purpose of the building in mind. • Residential roofs usually do not have such components other than a chimney or two at the most. • Commercial roofing is much more expensive than residential roofing because of the safety equipment, special tools and materials that are needed onsite.

In case of residential roof the repair or replacement work can be completed in a short time. • The equipments used for residential roofs are often smaller and less expensive as well. • Commercial roof are usually constructed in large sections and its installations take a longer time to complete in comparison to residential roof installations.
