What is available ? • Background documents for simplified technical characterisation of sectors including determination of costs (transparency and traceability). 50 priority activities covered • Computer tool ECODAT to collect the required country specific parameters and calculate country specific costs • Feasibility of the methods exemplary demonstrated for France EGTEI Berlin, TFIAM May 25, 27, 2005

What is available ? • Country specific data collection achieved for a low number of Parties and a low number of activities • Compilation of synopsis sheets supposed to insure that EGTEI methodologies are more clearly understood • 30 EGTEI proposals for sector representation and costs introduced in RAINS EGTEI Berlin, TFIAM May 25, 27, 2005

  7. What is coming next ? • New ways of working decided in Laxenburg (January 2005), EGTEI steering group meeting Improving data quality in RAINS and communication/transparency in EGTEI EGTEI Berlin, TFIAM May 25, 27, 2005

  8. How ? • Submission of EGTEI summaries to the Working Group on Strategies and Review in order to be endorsed by national representatives September 26-30, 2005 in Geneva, (To be firstly presented to the next EGTEI steering group meeting on 6 June in Rome EGTEI Berlin, TFIAM May 25, 27, 2005

How ? • Adaptation of EGTEI data for use in the RAINS model : • data restructured by EGTEI to the level of aggregation used in RAINS • Recommendations to modify the endorsement structure : • Of EGTEI data : endorsed by the Working Group on Strategies and Review • Of the RAINS model : endorsed by TFIAM • Better sharing of information among EGTEI stakeholders, on a regular basis : • Newsletter, web site EGTEI Berlin, TFIAM May 25, 27, 2005
