On January 30, 2014, students are reminded to complete their homework, which includes finishing presentations by tomorrow. Daily Language Practice • 1. Isaac Asimov entered columbia university at the age of fifteen. (1) • 2. His father wanted him to study medicine, but Asimov did not want to harm not laboratory animals, so he switches to chemistry. (3)

Ex. 3, p. 401 • 1. After the Civil War, cowboys often drove their cattle to the nearest railroad. • 2. Then, the cattle were shipped to the East in response to a demand for beef. • 3.
