ESI-R Developmental Screening • Developmental screening is a brief assessment designed to identify children who may need further evaluation. • The screening helps identify children who may need assistance to perform successfully in school and enables teachers to seek assistance for interventions sooner. • It is NOT a readiness or skills assessment, nor an IQ test, nor an entrance exam. • ESI-R takes about 15-20 minutes per student to administer. • Completed within 45 days of enrollment.
