  2. The ASTRI Prototype TheASTRI SST-2M end-to-end prototype, installed at the INAF observing station located at Serra La Nave, 1735 m a.s.l. on Mt. Etna, has been inaugurated on September 2014 during the CTA Consortium Meeting in Sicily. The first Crab observations with a Schwarzschild-Couder telescope equipped with SiPMs will be performed in 2015. Low High Gino Tosti - MASS Meeting - Bologna, 2-4 Feb 2015

  4. The mainoperation flow • The operator user, through a GUI, asks the next NSO identifier to the scheduler; • The Scheduler uses the DHS to retrieve the NSO identifier from the DB; • The Scheduler through the Resource Manager (which is supported by the DHS) checks that all needed components are ready for data taking tasks; • The Scheduler after the compatibility check of the NSO id and the system status, returns to the operator GUI the id of NOS which is being started; • The Scheduler calls the Sequencer to start the identified NOS; • The Sequencer takes needed information from the DHS through the NSO identifier received by the scheduler (telescopes requested, telescopes available, system status etc.). The sequencer also uses the Command Library to retrieve all tasks which shall be executed to run the required NSO; • The Sequencer interacts with the Telescope Controller and the Camera Controller in order to execute the data taking. • The acquired data are sent to the DHS; • The DHS notifies the end of the observation to the DB; • Data are available to the remote user through a web server; Gino Tosti - MASS Meeting - Bologna, 2-4 Feb 2015
