The International sailing federation have removed windsurfing and replaced it with kite surfing. This is a surface water sport combining aspects of wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, and paragliding into one extreme sport. These former players said they have had at least one brain injury while playing in this league. The players said they want medical treatment and monitoring for all former, current and future players. Roger Goodell, the National Football League commissioner says, “The concussion settlement is good for both sides.” The players claimed Riddle Inc. company was concealing the concussions long term issues and effects the players could get. Horseback riding safe or not? By: Nicole Klaus In 2007, 78,000 people were in emergency rooms due to horse-related injuries. There is an estimated 30 million horseback riders in the United States. The risk from riding a horse and getting injured is higher than motorcyclists and automobile racers. Horseback riders under 15 represent 20% of horse-related injuries. The most common mounted injuries are being thrown off, or falling off your horse. Riding lessons are worth it to increase riding safety. Always wear an equestrian helmet not a bicycle helmet. Equestrian helmets are designed for impact to the back of the head, on the other hand bicycle helmets are designed for front or side injuries. Wear a good heeled boot so your foot won’t slip through the stirrups. Use a safety stirrup to prevent dragging accidents, such as peacock stirrups, break away stirrups, or toe stoppers. Stay alert and attentive while riding at all times. A horse’s vision is restricted to the front and rear. Talk to your horse when approaching him/her to avoid being kicked. Approach from an angle never from the front or rear. Walk around a horse out of kicking range, or close behind with one hand on his/her hip.

  9. Fashions The difference between Hollister Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch By: Kelly LoCaffaro Hollister shoppers are between the ages of 14-18. Abercrombie shoppers are between the ages of 7-16. Hollister is aimed towards younger people; Abercrombie is aimed towards older people. This explains why it is more expensive. Abercrombie was founded before Hollister, but is smaller than Hollister. Hollister is more California style, and Abercrombie & Fitch is more Newyork. Which is where they are both located, as they are located other places around the world. Abercrombie also has other brands, such as Hollister Co. Abercrombie Kids, Abercrombie & Fitch and Gilly Hicks. Most students in Tallmadge look at Hollister being more beachy, and outgoing because of the plaid shirts, different colored shorts and jeans, the fragrances, shoes, bags, types of shirts, and graphic t-shirts. Abercrombie is more much classier, like the button up shirts, the dresses, fancy style top, jeans and the shorts. The price and quality is higher than Hollister. Colors used in both brands are always limited. Abercrombie opts for dark grays, whites and dark red. Hollister sticks to a earthier look of brown, dark red and a pale powder blue. Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister have a big similarity, which is the sight, smell and size of the stores. They seem to be dark, smell like men’s cologne, and be very tight and crowded. They usually have loud music and lots of people.
