Emergency service - proximity measurement • Source node and destination node are BAN nodes • Source node and destination node form a link and exchange data • Emergency data generated in the case of deviation from the set norm BAN link • Few examples • Prevent baby’s day out • Virtually monitor a kid in a swimming pool • To maintain synchrony in rescue operations Ranjeet K. Emergency service - abnormal condition detection • Destination node is a BAN node • Source node is not a BAN node, attached to a object • Source and destination form a link and exchange data • Ill-function of the object may lead to a disaster, source node informs the condition of the object • Few examples: • Detection of tampered brake fluid lines or worn piston rings in a car • Detection of battery heating up to the dangerous level in computing devices around the vicinity Ranjeet K.
