  2. What is ASCEND? 2 hour sessions at lunch time 11 week course for parents To help parents see the world through their child’s eyes To help parents understand why their children behave as they do To use this to help with their own child

  3. Parents learn about the theories of autism in an easy way What are the sessions like? Mixture of teaching, discussions, activities Very relaxed

  4. If your child has a diagnosis of autism or Asperger syndrome and you would like to attend ASCEND, talk to your GP, Paediatrician, Specialist Autism teachers or CAMHS worker.

  5. ‘It was excellent in explaining ASD and informative in getting understanding of other parents difficulties with their children and very supportive’.
