Arkansas Association of Instructional Media • Over 700 members across the state • Media specialists, technology specialists, college professors are members. • Membership only $20 a year • Annual conference usually in April • Conference will have breakout sessions, 2 or 3 keynote speakers and vendors.

  3. Possible Conference Sessions • Media ideas for libraries • Latest technology ideas for schools • Common core activities • Teacher evaluation (TESS) • Authors • Time to meet others of same profession (library and tech) • Professional development hours

  4. Elementary Libraries • Curriculum : state organized 36 standards for libraries before common core. • In Conway, we created our own pacing guide with activities to go along with our guide. • With Common Core, we only work on 2 or 3 standards pre 9 weeks. We tried to pick the standards that teacher would not teach in the classroom. • We (elementary) are part of the report card so we give a grade on the 2 or 3 standard. We will teach other topics from our frameworks but will not give a grade.
