  8. CO-OPERATIVE MODEL • BASED ON LEVELS OF EFFICIENCY IN PRODUCTION AND GIVEN PRICES OBTAINED, OPERATIONS WILL GENERATE RETURNS OF NOT <15% PER CROP; THESE RETURNS WILL THEN BE SHARED WITH MEMBERS OF THE Co-operative AS DETERMINE BY THE BOARD

  10. STAKEHOLDERS MINISTRY OF FINANCE To provide advice and assistance in the raising of capital.

  11. STAKEHOLDERS ESTATE MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (EMBD) • To ensure suitable infrastructure exists in the respective locations so that cultivation activities can commence soon. • Efficient maintenance of the infrastructure.

  12. STAKEHOLDERS ESTATE MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (EMBD) • To ensure that adequate security is provided at the respective locations to curtail the dumping of rubbish, obstruction of access roads, and interference with the free flow of water courses.

  16. STAKEHOLDERS CARIBBEAN INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE (CARIRI) • To provide research and technical advice. • To provide laboratory testing service. • To advise on the adaptation of best practices.

  17. STAKEHOLDERS CARIBBEAN INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE (CARIRI) • To advise on new techniques and technologies for combating agriculture pests and diseases thereby enhancing crop yields.

  18. STAKEHOLDERS UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES (UWI) • To provide research and development services. • To assist in networking with other academic institutions in accessing best available technologies, seed, material and best practices.

  19. STAKEHOLDERS • To assist in establishing the financial and accounting framework within which the business of the Co-operative will operate. • To provide consultancy services as and when required. ERNST AND YOUNG (E&Y)

  20. STAKEHOLDERS A. ALI & CO. • To ensure that in the establishment and operations of the Co-operative, the laws of the land are fully adhered to, and that the respective interest of all stakeholders are secured within the existing laws.

STAKEHOLDERS MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, LAND & MARINE RESOURCES (MALMAR) • To advise on appropriate and acceptable cultivation practices to ensure that: • The health and safety of those involve in the cultivation are well protected • Chemicals and fertilizers used in the cultivation conform to local and international standards

STAKEHOLDERS MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, LAND & MARINE RESOURCES (MALMAR) • Assist in the sourcing of good quality seed material in the right quantity and at the right time • Provide appropriate advice, information and assistance in accessing all support assistance available to farmers • Provide soil, water and air sampling

  25. STAKEHOLDERS NAMDEVCO • To provide information, advice and assistance in the certification of cultivation and harvesting practices, so that crops can be marketed locally and internationally.

  27. STAKEHOLDERS PCS NITROGEN • To provide reasonably priced fertilizer, bearing in mind, that the agricultural industry as well as other down-stream industries flow from the core business of PCS • To provide technical advice on the applicability of fertilizers

  28. STAKEHOLDERS EASTERN CARIBBEAN INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY (ECIAF) • To provide a cadre of well trained supervisors and managers for the operations of the farmers’ Co-operative

  29. STAKEHOLDERS UNIVERSITY OF TRINIDAD & TOBAGO (UTT) • Provide a well-trained cadre of farm technician, supervisors and managers • Provide a well-trained cadre of people in all aspects of the business opportunities of the Co-operative
