  4. 2015/16 YFS Total Budget • Youth/Family Services – $3,125,000 • Foster Care Services - $4,635,000 • Mandated Cost - $6,225,000 • Administration - $1,139,000 • Total - $15,124,000

  5. Great Oaks Village Contract Update

Great Oaks Village • Residential Group Care for youth 6- 21 years old • 5 Cottages age and gender specific • Welcome Center accepts youth 0-21 years old for up to 23 hours • Based on the Forefront recommendations the model of care changed; therefore, more complex youth are being served to include Human Trafficking victims • Trauma Informed Care Model • New pavilion

  7. Wittenstein Cottage • Serve youth 18- 21 years old who are working and/ or in school • Department of Children and Family has expressed the need for this type of program • In addition to space we will provide independent living skills • Opens an additional cottage for placement flexibility

Children In Need of Services/ Family In Need of Services (CINS/FINS) Youth Shelter Florida Network is the funder throughout the state for CINS/FINS Last year both programs won Program of the Year through the Florida Network This year a shelter employee won Caseworker of the year with the Florida Network Added Domestic Violence and Probation Respite programs Suggested by the Network to pilot the medication cart

CINS/FINS Family Counseling • Providing services to youth 6- 17 years old • Working with youth that have some delinquent charges • Program success rates are high • Suggested by the Florida Network and Department of Juvenile Justice to pilot Stop Now And Plan (SNAP) • Due to the Forefront recommendation the program was moved on campus for the synergy in programs

Juvenile Assessment Center • Contract with Department of Juvenile Justice • New opportunity that started April 2015 • Manage the daily operations of the building • Provided us a better opportunity to be a key participant in the Juvenile Justice Programs • Allows us an opportunity to provide diversion programs • Connects the programs in Youth and Family Services by providing referrals to one another

Summary • The carve out dollars have been drawn down for the first time in history • Created housing options for young adults 18- 21 years old • CINS/FINS have been commended the past two years by the Florida Network • The Juvenile Assessment Center will continue to provide us an opportunity to provide diversion programs
