  2. Sibiu Sibiu is a city in Transylvania, Romania with a population of 154,500 inhabitants. Located some 282 km north-west of Bucharest, the city straddles the Cibin River, a tributary of the river Olt. Nowadays the capital of Sibiu County, between 1692 and 1791 Sibiu was the capital of the Principality of Transylvania. Sibiu is one of the most important cultural centre of Romania and, in tandem with Luxembourg, it was designated a European Capital of Culture for the year 2007. Formerly the centre of the Transylvanian Saxons, the old city of Sibiu was ranked as "Europe's 8th most idyllic place to live" by Forbes.

  3. Sibiu A major transport hub • With its favorable position, Sibiu is directly connected to national and European infrastructure for intercity rail (EV, NS) and Road - E81, E68 Timisoara, Arad, Bucharest E81, E68 Brasov.

Sibiu international airport • Close to the airport there is the city of Sibiu, which is a popular destination for summer holidays. • Directly connected airports: • Viena / Vienna (VIE) • München / Munich (MUC) • Antalya (AYT) • Bucureşti / Bucharest (OTP) • Timişoara (TSR) • Stuttgart (STR) • Madrid (MAD) • It is possible to travel directly to Sibiu with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, KLM, Tarom, Blue Air, Carpatair.

Ibis Hotel is located in downtown , in the cultural and economical center of Sibiu, 5 min walking distance from the most important monuments, museums and historical places of the city. 195 soundproofed and air-conditioned rooms are available for booking. The hotel has an international restaurant and 7 meeting rooms for seminars and conferences (600 persons). Guests on a business trip have free internet connection access.
