Breaking the Taboo- Empowering health and social service professionals to combat violence against older women within families • Focus: Violence against older women within the family • Aim: Raising awareness among staff members of community-based health and social services • Partners: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal • Duration: May 2007- April 2009

Project results BTT1www.btt-project.eu • National reports in English (Literature search, interviews with staff) • European report in English • Brochure for staff members in seven languages • Awareness raising workshops in four countries • Conference in four countries • Recommendations in seven languages

Breaking the Taboo II – Testing tools to train the trainers • Focus: • violence against older women within the family • staff members of community-based health and social services • Aim: Developing training programme for facilitators of awareness raising workshops for staff and peer advisors • Partners: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia • Duration: January 2010- December 2011

  5. Project results BTT2 www.btt-project.eu • Translation of brochure in Bulgarian and Slovenian and reprint in German, English, French, Portuguese and Dutch • National reports in English (research on existing training programmes) • European report in English
