  2. Tuning Down Luminosity • PXL allowed to be turned on below 55 kHz • 50 kHz • Tuning down luminosity and keeping it at 50 kHz by mis-steering the beam works well • 3 hours after the beginning of a fill • longer running time with PXL and IST 2

  3. Luminosity and Events • luminosity hunger • running time hunger • Thanks to the effort of CAD, we caught up with our goal line. • But due to acceptance loss in PXL detector caused by beam radiation, we need 20~30 % more events to have the same quality of physics result. 3

  4. Data Taking Time • STAR is running efficiently. • PXL and IST running time is much improved in the past week. 4
