  2. What is a Rubik’s Cube? • Invented by ErnőRubik in 1974. • Patented in 1975 in Hungary. • Licensed by Rubik to be sold by ‘Ideal Toy Corp.’ in 1980. • Originally called “Magic Cube” • It was renamed “Rubik’s Cube” in 1980 in order to have a more recognizable name by Ideal.
