  2. Hartford is the capital of Connecticut. Connecticut became a state on January 9, 1788.

  3. The state of Connecticut’s bird is a robin. The state flower is mountain laurel.

  4. The state tree in CT is a white oak tree. The nickname is the Constitution State. Also there are 97 colleges/universities.

  5. One famous person from Connecticut is George W. Bush. He was the 43rd president.

  6. Another famous person is Christopher Lloyd. He is an actor.

  7. My most favorite college in Connecticut is Yale University. Their scores are 100 at Yale and they have a great tuition money. It’s only $19,317 a year plus school supplies

  8. Another place to go is the Glass House. It is a historical house in New Canaan, CT by Philip Johnson.

  9. One fun fact about Connecticut is that the first telephone book ever issued contained only fifty names.

  10. Connecticut and Rhode Island never ratified the 18th amendment (prohibition).

  11. A cool place to go in Connecticut is the steam train called Essex Christori Railroad for a scenic ride.
