CIDER is an open-source collection management system designed for archives, developed by Deborah Kaplan at Tufts University. It supports item-level management and offers a flexible collection hierarchy. CIDER generates EAD as an end product, integrates EAC and accessioning, and emphasizes accessibility. Built with Perl and the Catalyst web framework, it is adaptable with flexible inputs and manifestation classes. Version 1.0 represents the culmination of clarified requirements and revised design efforts, ready to enhance archival management.
