  3. Overview • All 10 state hospitals in single view • Data Centers in SHV and BR • LONI network connections • Building block for the statewide EHR • Getting many things we didn’t have before • Not perfect, always a work in progress!

  9. PACS S2L Upgrade 10/09 • We are already installing clinical wks • Security configuration • Color panels (US, 3D recons etc.) • Data center here installed (mostly) • Upgrade over weekend of 10/9-12

  10. PACS Upgrade Oct 9-12 • 5pm 10/9 – 7am 10/13 • 5-7 2 hour downtime, then back up • Current workstations will still work • Exams will be Unspecified (no procedure name). • 10/12 half wks on old, half on new • Another 2 hour downtime to new system • Upgrade software on rest of workstations

  11. Important Changes • Cleanup • Unspecifieds (HUGE kudos to our Radiographer staff) • Special characters • Procedure and series names • Body Parts

  12. Important Changes • Hanging Protocols • Affected by body parts, procedures, series • Existing DDPs will go away • Need to rebuild using new data • Departments (NR, MS, AB etc.) • New WebViewer – will have to reinstall plug-in, changes are evolutionary

  13. Summary • The upgrade process has started • Hanging protocols (DDPs) will go away (twice) • There will be on site GE trainers Oct 13 and 14 if you have questions • PACS change is evolutionary
