An Important Reminder • We encourage you to do Club Service Funding over Fundraising • Historically not successful here at Clark • Must return the money initially spent, and then leftovers= fundraised monies • You are liable for any lose of fundraising money • Not able to receive Club Service Funding for the Fundraiser • When hosting a fundraiser, be sure to advertise your event well • In the community and here at Clark

  3. The Office of Student LIfe • We can help with event proposals, documentation, and the following: • Providing a cash box and bag • Arranging for a change fund • Paying expenses (reimbursing) • Processing your donation to a charitable organization • Providing you with a Thank-you letter

  4. Holding a Fundraising Event • Your event must first be approved by the Director of Student Life • Your Fundraising Application must be turned into the Office of Student Life 14 days prior to event • Your advisor needs to be in attendance for the entire event • You must submit your room request 2-3 weeks in advance • If media is required – you must connect with Mark Owsley and have a production meeting at least 2 weeks in advance • You will need to designate a person to be in charge (Person In Charge= PIC) • Your PIC will be the main contact and will be notified if your request has been approved or denied

  5. Cash Handling Procedures • PIC is in charge of all money or donations • All money must be deposited to Cashier’s Office by end of day, or immediately the next day if after hours • Money must be kept with advisor in secure location if this occurs • 2 people should manage cash at all times, separately counting total funds

  6. Fundraising Packet • Packet can be found in PUB 160 or online at http://www.clark.edu/student_life/forms_docs.php • Darci Feider in the Student Life Office can help you with paperwork • Any questions??
