Ongoing Employability Support • Action to improve employability must become more aspirational, with treatment and care services providing ongoing support. • 100. Agencies Working Together • Health and social care, training and skills development and regeneration (agencies) to make a significant contribution to individuals' employment prospects.

  6. Who are the trainees? Male and female Age range 25 - 50 Parents Former drug and alcohol service users People with experience of homelessness Ex-offenders

  7. What do trainees get from AWTP? • Stepping Stone • Personal Development • Working Towards Full Time Employment • Confidence / Self Esteem • Knowledge & Skills • Positive Challenge • High Level of Support

AWTP Outcomes • 1st five years: 70% of trainees moved in to employment • External Evaluation 2004-2007 • High levels of satisfaction from trainees • High success levels in helping people in to employment in the care field • Recognised as Best Practice Initiative at Herald Society Awards 2008 due to “increasing efficiency, ensuring best value and inter-agency collaboration”.
