Development opportunities on Moldovan IT&T market • Fast and stable growth of IT&T sector stimulates the growth of the market demand and “vice-versa”; • Enhanced competition on the market stimulates the growth of the number of users, which means stable growth of incomes (mobile telephony sector ab.20% per year); • Investment and consume in IT&T sector are profitable; • Unexplored market on different segments (outsourcing, broadband infrastructure and services, etc.); • Market availability to attract and to consume investments; • IS development follows European practice and legal framework; • Favorable geographical position; • Low costs for infrastructure development due to density of population and relief conditions; • Multilingual population and relatively high level of IT&T education; • Favorable proportion “qualification/salaries” in IT&T sector; • Public administration and educational systems reform is oriented to the implementation of IT&T Source: UNDP 13
