Applications of semiring to other branches • Complemented elements play an important role in the semiring representations of the semantics of computer programs. • Semirings are used for modeling Economics, social network analysis, queuing theory, computation of bio-polymers, penalty theory in artificial intelligence, computation theory, modern control theory of psychological phenomenon.

  4. Technical usefulness of Semiring • In the current busy digital world, the word “cryptography” is well known to many of us. Knowingly as well as unknowingly, we are using different techniques of cryptography. • We can say that cryptography and secrecy have a close connection like withdrawing money from ATM using PIN code. • Sending e-mails, logging on to a PC, operating the locker at a bank, sending message by using a mobile phone, buying things using a credit card through internet, digitally transferring money from one account to another.
