Det ser ut til å være enklest å eliminere y: I + II gir -x -4z = -10 (likn. IV) III + 2*II gir x + 7z =10 (likn. V) I neste runde eliminerer vi x: IV + V gir 3z = 0 ==> z=0 V gir x + 7(0) = 10 ==> x= 10 I gir (10) + y - 7(0) = 15 ==> y =15-10 = 5
