What is Mosaic? • Mosaic is the art of making images using small pieces of colored glass, tile, stone or other materials. • Small square pieces are placed on a canvas to create an image. The subject matter of the mosaic is limited only by the artists’ imagination • Mosaic art has been created for over four thousand years.
