  1. FIRE EXTINGUISHER By SAFETY LINE LLC

  2. A fire extinguisher is a portable device that is used to extinguish or control small fires, often in emergency situations. It is important to be familiar with the different types of fire extinguishers and how to use them properly in case of a fire emergency.

  3. DIFFERENT TYPES OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER There are several different types of fire extinguishers, each designed to be used on specific types of fires. For example, water extinguishers are designed to be used on fires caused by combustible materials such as paper or wood, while CO2 extinguishers are designed to be used on fires caused by electrical equipment. It is important to know which type of extinguisher to use on different types of fires.

  4. HOW TO USE FIRE EXTINGUISHER To use a fire extinguisher, follow the acronym "PASS": Pull the pin at the top of the extinguisher, Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire, Squeeze the lever to release the extinguishing agent, and Sweep the nozzle from side to side to extinguish the flames.

  5. WHEN TO EVACUATE In some cases, it may not be safe to use a fire extinguisher and you should immediately evacuate the area. This may be the case if the fire is spreading quickly, if the room is filling with smoke, or if you are unsure about how to use the extinguisher properly.

  6. MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION Fire extinguishers should be inspected regularly to ensure they are in good working order. This typically involves checking the pressure gauge to make sure the extinguisher is fully charged, and inspecting the hose and nozzle for any signs of damage. It is also important to replace fire extinguishers after they have been used or if they have reached their expiration date.

  7. CONCLUSION fire extinguishers are an important tool for fighting small fires and can help prevent a fire from spreading. By familiarizing yourself with the different types of extinguishers and how to use them properly, you can help keep yourself and others safe in case of a fire emergency.
