  1. Welcome to 4th grade! Mrs. Rademacher & Mrs. England

  2. Schedule Mrs. England’s Mon = P.E. Tues.= Art and P.E. Wed.= Music Thurs.= P.E. Friday.= Music Lunch = 12:45-1:15 Library= Friday Mrs. Rademacher’s Class Mon = Music Tues. = P.E. and Music Wed. = P.E. Thurs.= P.E. Library= Fri. Friday= Art Lunch= 12:42-1:12

  3. Attendance • Our day begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:00 p.m. • Students are considered tardy if they are not in class by 8:20 a.m. • If they are not in class at 9:45 a.m., they are marked absent. • Please send a note when your child has been absent. • Please send a note when your child changes transportation.

  4. Adult Badges • Adults that are in the building after 8:20 are required to check into the front office and get a badge for identification.

  5. Homework • Students record daily homework assignments in their Planner. • Planners and Homework Folders need to taken home daily and returned daily. Please check to make sure your child is writing down their homework assignment. We will randomly check planners to ensure that students are recording their homework assignments. 9 Weeks Homework Criteria • E = 0-2 missing homework assignments • S = 2-5 missing homework assignments • N = 6-8 missing homework assignments • U = 9 + more missing homework assignments • Math and Language Arts homework Mon.-Thurs.

  6. Call for GT Referrals August 26th-September 27th- GT Referral WindowIf you would like to refer your child for Klein’s Gifted and Talented program, please stop by the campus and pick up a referral packet.  Referral packets are available in the front office.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call our counselor, Anne Francis at (832) 484-7706 or our principal, Misty Kainer at (832)484-7705.  You may also visit the Klein website at http://www.kleinisd.net/default.aspx?name=cigt.home.  Referral packets must be turned in to the counselor by  September 27, 2013. 

  7. "Paws"-itive Behavior • The teachers will be looking for “Paws”-itive things that each student does through out the day. • Each student can earn paw prints. After a row is filled up, a student can get a free pass to use in our rooms or pick out of the prize box.

  8. Behavior Chart • Kids that are misbehaving, not focused, not following directions will be redirected several times. • After several warnings, the student gets a mark on the behavior chart. • We are keeping track of behavior marks and they will be noted in the Tuesday Folder the following week. • FD- Follow Directions, UTE- Using Time Effectively, CP-Class Participation • Repeated behaviors each week will result in lowering the conduct grade.

  9. Behavior Bingo • Behavior Bingo is designed to be a whole class “Paws”-itive reward system. There are 100 squares on the board with 10 numbers in a row. Once the class, fills up an entire vertical line of numbers, the WHOLE class receives a “reward”. Here are some things that can earn numbers for the class. • Walking in line quietly as a class • Quiet transitions • Outstanding cafeteria behavior • Working well as a class

  10. Tuesday Folders • Please review the Tuesday folder each week with your child. There may be important papers in there that need to be discussed. • This allows you to monitor the progress of your child’s work habits, conduct, and academics. • Papers with grades 74 or below will be marked “Sign and Return” and stapled to the Tuesday Folder. Please sign and return these papers in the Tuesday Folder. • When there is a holiday on Monday, the folders won’t be sent home until Wed.
