  2. With a number of choices available in the market, choosing the right flooring has become a tough decision for the consumers. The two most popular types of flooring are marble and vitrified tiles. The former one has been in the market for much longer, but vitrified tiles have gained popularity in recent times. There are many porcelain tile manufacturers in Morbi, Gujarat who produce tiles for various types. Here are the key differences between marble and vitrified/porcelain tiles that will help you decide which flooring is the best for your purpose. Floor maintenance: Marble occurs naturally in the earth in the form of stones and is then cut into various sizes. Because it's a natural occurrence, marble has a more porous surface which means that marble will get much more easily stained than vitrified tiles. Hence, the maintenance of the marble is much more difficult as compared to the vitrified tiles. Vitrified tiles have nano material coating on it which makes it stain and scratch resistant. Durability: Marble usually last longer than vitrified tiles, but they turn lackluster and yellowish on the surface after some time. So it has to be scrubbed and polished periodically which is a costly and time-consuming operation. Vitrified tile is polished very precisely using cutting edge technology during the last stage of production so it retains shine and color for a very long time. Supply and Transport: Vitrified tiles are pre-cut in smaller dimensions and can be shipped easily in regular crates with proper packaging. Since marble occurs naturally as a stone in large shapes, the cutting and transport process is much more laborious, expensive and time-consuming along with the increased chances of damage during transport as the stone is delicate. Installation: Because of their smaller size and light weight, vitrified tiles are much easier to install than marble tiles. In fact, it is far easier, cheaper and faster to replace vitrified tiles than re-polishing or maintaining marble tiles. Availability: Both vitrified tile and marble are readily available in the market. There are a number of tile exporters in India who export both, marble and vitrified tiles offshore. Usage: Vitrified Tiles can be used in both inside and outside spaces in homes, offices and general public areas. However, for marble because of the high cost and high absorption characteristic, it's more appropriate for installing inside the house. www.sakarmarbo.com

  3. Designs: Marble, being a natural product, has a limited number of designs whereas vitrified tile has a wide range of designs as literally any design can be manufactured using digital printing machine.
