  1. Find your pink CUCC paper in your binders. Take out a clean sheet of paper and clear your desks of everything except today’s work

  4. Political Spectrum • A device used to show a range of beliefs on a political issue

  5. Political Spectrum • It shows us three things . . .

  6. MAD • It shows us what a person is willing to do to make change happen,how much change is wanted, and the direction of change

  7. Radical • Supports an immediate and complete change to a new way of doing things, by any means necessary

  8. Liberal • Supports some changes to new things that would be done gradually and peacefully within the law

  9. Moderate • May want change on some issues and no change on others; thinks peaceful compromise is the way to resolve differences

  10. Conservative • Wants to preserve the best of the past and usually supports few changes; works peacefully within the law to maintain current conditions

  11. Reactionary • Wants an immediate and complete change that will bring back the old way of doing things, by any means necessary

  12. Work with a neighbor to complete the Political Spectrum chart.

  13. Directions • Read about Wide Range High and fill out your worksheet with the names of the students.

  14. Homework • I like Reece's Peanut butter cups.
