  2. JCPSeSchool • Provided through Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, KY • Uses ANGEL Learning Management System • Certified teachers write and monitor courses

  3. Learn All the Time, Everywhere Students working in 9 states and some foreign countries

  4. High School eSchool • Students take eSchool courses for: • Credit recovery • Courses needed for graduation • Dual credit – high school and college • Focus on all academic areas • Scrimmages provide review of content before state assessment • Students have one year to complete course

  5. Middle School eSchool • Credit Recovery • Focus: • Reading • Writing • Math • Completed through ESS – daytime, after school, summer school • 2005-2006 8th grade students • 2006-2007 All middle school students

  6. Elementary eSchool • Two pronged approach • Teacher directed • Student learning • Focus – Math • Reading in math • Games involving math • Available for intermediate grades 2006-2007

  7. Next Venture • Jefferson County Virtual School • Grades 6-12 • Students attend school – regular daytime hours • Hybrid environment – combination of online learning with direct instruction • Begins August 15, 2006
