  4. Facts about Romania • Official Name: Romania • Location: (Southeastern) Central Europe • Time Zone: Seven hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Standard Time (GMT + 2) • Area: 92,043 sq. miles (238,391 sq. km) • Flag of Romania: Three vertical stripes: red, yellow and blue.

  5. Bucharest-capital of Romania • is the capital municipality, cultural, industrial, and financial centre of Romania. • It is the largest city in Romania, located in the southeast of the country.

  6. Best Places to visit in Romania • The Danube Delta (Delta Dunării) The mighty Danube River flows 1,788 miles from its springs in Germany’s Black Forest to the Black Sea. Just before reaching the sea it forms the second largest and best preserved of Europe's deltas: 2,200 square miles of rivers, canals, marshes, tree-fringed lakes and reed islands. The Danube Delta is a wildlife enthusiast’s (especially a bird watcher’s) paradise.

Black Sea-Romania • The Romanian Black Sea resorts stretch from the Danube Delta in the north down to the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast in the south, along 275 kilometers of coastline. • The most important resort is Mamaia, situated north of the city of Constanța on a narrow land slice. • Mamaia is a popular destination in the summer for Romanians and foreign tourists alike as a result of major investments in tourist infrastructure.

  9. Famous Castles in Romania Peles Castle Is a Neo-Renaissance castle in the Carpathian Mountains, near Sinaia, in Prahova County, on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia, built between 1873 and 1914. Its inauguration was held in 1883.

  10. Bran Castle Commonly known as "Dracula's Castle. The castle is now a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. Situated near Bran and in the immediate vicinity of Braşov, is a national monument and landmark in Romania. It is marketed as the home of the titular character in Bram Stoker's Dracula.

  11. Károlyi Castle Is located in Carei, a city in Satu Mare County, northwestern Romania, near the border with Hungary. The castle was named after an old noble family, the Károlyi.
