  2. There are 3 easy ways to save your Microsoft Word document…

  3. #1

  4. First, make sure you have your document open and displayed on your screen.

  5. Look in the upperleftcorner of your screen. In the very top toolbar, go to “File”.

  6. CLICK on “File”. A dropdown box will appear.

  7. CLICK on “Save”

  8. Now… if this is the first time you are saving your document, a dropdown screen will open. In the top box next to “Save As:” you should write the name of your document.

  9. For example, you could name your document “Super Student”.

  10. Then, look at the next box down. Next to it is “Where”, which is where you want to save your document. CLICK on the little blue square with the up & down arrows in it so you can get a list of places to save your document.

  11. From the dropdown box, CLICK on the name of the place where you want to save your document. For example, CLICK on “Desktop”.

  12. When you have made your choice, CLICK on the blue “Save”button in the lower right corner… and you’re done!

  13. #2

  14. Remember the dropdown box from when you CLICKed on “File” and then “Save”? Look at the right side. See the symbol and the letter “S” ?

  15. The symbol and the letter “S” stand for two of the keys on your keyboard.

  16. Hold down the key (the command key) and then hit the “S”. Now you’ve saved your document.

  17. #3

  18. The final way you can save your document is by going to the top of your document screen. Look for “Save”, which is under the picture of an old school floppy disc (how computers used to store info instead of on flash drives.)

  19. CLICK on the picture of the floppy disc. This saves your document… and you’re done.

  20. Now you know 3 easy ways to save your documents.
