Mental Health for Street There could be several people benefiting from the fast pace development in the country but a Children and Orphans certain section still beckons development yet. The street children in India are still awaiting to February 3, 2017 embrace the dawn of their life. Are we doing enough for them? Find Me On Imagine, these street children becoming a productive resource for the country one day. It is all possible if earnest efforts are being put to uplift lives of the children. To begin with, children should be provided with shelter, food and last but not the least education. Ability to read and write can take them a long way. While we may concentrate on education, we should give equal amount of focus on mental health for street children. The children who dwell on the street have little place to go to. They often don’t have a person who cares for them. Since they do not get to eat well so they often fall sick and their physical and mental development, both get hampered. It is so essential to add value to these young lives and help them become better human beings. In order to give them a better life, Salaam Baalak Trust is working hard to provide a good environment for growth to them. Working for the last three decades, SBT has been actively engaged in providing shelter, food and education to the street children. Their efforts have been noticed by one and many in the society. From time to time, they organize events that help in raising funds that further go to the children and their welfare. You can help as well. You can teach them activities like music, Yoga, dance, art etc. Such activities will nurture them and help them become better human beings. The more these children learn, they more they become productive. It is essential to invest on our younger population and help them get better environment. With their presence, India will see another dawn.
