  3. Countries Nine Countries participated in the East Asian Games. China Macau Japan Chinese Taipei South Korea Guam Kazakhstan Mongolia Hong Kong

  4. Dates of the Events • The opening ceremony was on May 10th ,1997 • The closing ceremony ended on May 19th ,1997

  8. Medals China won the most medals in the first East Asian Games in 1997.

  9. Other Information This is Ng Siu Ching.She is from Hong Kong. She won a gold medal in Wushu.
