CHAMPS • Conversation – 2 or 3 outside and in the gym • Please do not scream • Help – Find and ask a monitor or teacher • Activity – Check with Mr. McLain for available activities • Movement - Staying at reasonable rates of speed in designated areas • Participation – Maintaining behavior that lives up to expectations • Success – A safe environment to expend energy and to interact respectfully with peers and adults

  3. Specific Recess Guidelines • Please choose an area and stay in it (do not switch gyms or from one side of the curtain to another – ask if you need to) • Please do not kick athletic equipment • No wrestling or tackling • Stay at the 3-point line or closer to shoot basketballs • Keep your feet on the floors – not the walls! • Leave the curtain alone • All sports equipment should be used how it is meant to be used • Keep all food, candy, and drinks in the cafeteria • Be nice - No bullying or inappropriate language • Basically, the same rules apply during recess as PE 
