Research Question • Is there a directional pattern between Chaotic Terrain and channels? • Why is this science question important? • It is important because we want to know if there is a connection between the two things we are researching. • Why is this science question interesting? • This science is interesting because it can help scientist know more about certain things we are researching.   4. Background Information • Chaotic terrain is formed by channels intersecting with each other. • Ideally channels were formed by water.

Hypothesis * If there is chaotic terrain near channels? -Before we’re looking at pictures of Mars -We believe the pattern will go south by gravity * If channels fan outward like the Nile River? -After we look at pictures of Mars -The pattern fans out following the flow of gravity and will go separate directions By Michael Robinson
